Job Description
An upcoming Love & Basketball TV series is casting actors, actresses, athletes, and strong personalities for an on-camera production filming in New York City. The dramatic series explores basketball, relationships, family, money, politics, secrets, and the personal stakes surrounding the game. Casting is underway for multiple principal and supporting characters, including female basketball players, a basketball mother, young athlete, head coach, sports agent, team nurse, commissioner, detective, mayor/politician, and street gambler.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray an assigned principal or supporting character in the TV series.
- Perform scripted dramatic scenes and work collaboratively with cast and production.
- Bring authentic personality, chemistry, and emotional depth to the assigned role.
- Perform basketball-related scenes when required for athletic characters.
- Attend scheduled filming, rehearsals, fittings, or other production activities.
Requirements
- Casting actors, actresses, athletes, and strong personalities.
- Female basketball players: ages 18–25.
- Taja/Basketball Mom: ages 25–35.
- Messiah/Taja’s Son: ages 8–12.
- Head Coach: ages 30–50.
- Agent: ages 28–45.
- Team Nurse: ages 25–40.
- Female Commissioner: ages 40–50.
- Female Detective: ages 25–40.
- Mayor: ages 35–55.
- Street Gambler: ages 25–50.
- Basketball experience is a plus for athletic roles.
