A narrative short film project is seeking an experienced Sound Designer / Mixer for a professionally produced short film shot entirely on 16mm. This is a paid opportunity for a Los Angeles–based sound professional to collaborate on a cinematic project with a strong emphasis on audio quality and storytelling.
Job Responsibilities

Handle sound design and audio mixing for a narrative short film

Collaborate with the director and post-production team to achieve the desired soundscape

Ensure high-quality audio that supports the film’s narrative and visual style

Deliver polished final mixes suitable for festival and professional exhibition
Requirements

Proven experience as a Sound Designer and/or Mixer on narrative film projects

Strong understanding of sound design, dialogue, and mix workflows

Ability to work on a professional short film production

Must be based in Los Angeles
