Job Description
An independent food documentary production is seeking a Makeup Artist for multiple filming dates in Vancouver, British Columbia, between August 24 and September 1. The production will film approximately two people per day and requires natural, camera-ready makeup. The goal is to help documentary subjects look fresh and polished on camera while still looking like themselves. This is a modestly paid opportunity suited to a professional who is comfortable working on a small independent production.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide natural and minimal camera-ready makeup for documentary subjects.
- Prepare approximately two people per filming day.
- Maintain a polished yet authentic appearance appropriate for documentary filming.
- Bring and maintain your own professional makeup kit.
- Maintain a professional, reliable, and easygoing presence on set.
Requirements
- Experience providing makeup for film, photography, or other on-camera productions.
- Comfortable creating natural and minimal makeup looks.
- Must have your own makeup kit.
- Applicants who cannot work every filming date may still be considered.
Compensation
$100 day rate + $25 makeup kit fee.
