A coming-of-age short film adaptation of the novel Skellig is casting multiple actors for several key roles. The production will explore a powerful and emotional story about growth, imagination, and family challenges through the eyes of a young boy. Filming will take place in the Birmingham, West Midlands area, and the production team is seeking passionate performers who can bring depth, warmth, and authenticity to this character-driven story.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a scripted character in a dramatic coming-of-age short film

  • Michael’s Dad: Male, ages 36–45, emotionally burdened father dealing with family struggles

  • Dr Death: Male, ages 25–35, doctor character who appears intimidating at first but later reveals compassion

  • Film Narrator: Older male voice with a calm and clear tone

  • Michael’s Teacher: Female, ages 25–35, supportive and reassuring teacher figure
