Job Description
The IADT short film Lapse in Consciousness is seeking two talented male actors for key roles in a surreal psychological drama exploring the fragile boundary between dreams and reality. The film follows Peter, a young man drifting through life in a haze, as his perception of reality begins to distort after a mysterious television broadcast mirrors his thoughts.
This is an unpaid student production, but food and transport will be provided for all participants.
Job Responsibilities

Portray characters with emotional nuance and authenticity in a surreal, introspective narrative.

Collaborate closely with the director and cinematography team to bring out the film’s dreamlike tone.

Participate fully during filming days and rehearsals.

Take direction effectively to capture both realism and abstract emotion.
Character Breakdown

John: Male, mid to late 50s. A grounded yet distant figure representing the faded connection between reality and illusion.

Peter: Male, early 20s. Drifts through life as if in a dream, his sense of reality slowly unraveling as strange events begin to mirror his inner turmoil.
