The upcoming short film Hollow is casting actors for a paid Irish folk horror production filming in County Down, Northern Ireland. Set during the Irish Famine, this atmospheric narrative explores themes of hunger, loneliness, and survival through powerful, character-driven performances. The production is seeking talented actors with strong emotional range and welcomes performers from all backgrounds.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform a principal role in the short film Hollow.
- Collaborate with the director and production team throughout filming.
- Deliver emotionally compelling performances with subtle character work.
- Participate in filming over the scheduled production period.
- Follow creative direction and maintain professionalism on set.
Requirements
- Finn: Male, playing age 20s–30s. Strong screen presence with the ability to convey emotion through minimal dialogue. Must perform a neutral or period-appropriate Irish accent.
- The Woman: Female, playing age 18–40. Non-speaking role requiring exceptional physical performance and expressive acting. Comfortable wearing prosthetics, special effects makeup, and performing in horror scenes.
