Casting Call: Volunteers for Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Event

Job Details: Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help facilitate a major upcoming event. Volunteers will play a crucial role in ensuring the event runs smoothly and guests have a memorable experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces.

  • Provide information and directions to guests.

  • Help manage registration tables and check in guests.

  • Distribute materials and manage handouts during the event.

  • Ensure all guests adhere to the event schedule and find their respective sessions.

  • Support event coordinators with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical setup tasks.

  • Willingness to work as part of a team and follow directions.

  • Prior volunteer experience at events is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

  • This is a volunteer position; however, volunteers will receive:

    • A certificate of appreciation.

    • A letter of recommendation upon request.

    • Meals and refreshments during the event.

    • A unique opportunity to network with professionals and gain valuable experience in event management.
