Job Description
A student short film titled “As the Sun Sets” is casting Florida-based talent for two parent roles in a heartfelt drama centered on a Latin family. The production is seeking performers who can bring authenticity and emotional depth to the roles of Sandra, the mother, and Cruz, the father. No prior acting experience is required. The project will film in Tallahassee, Florida, with travel, accommodations, and meals provided for selected talent.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray a parent in a family-centered dramatic short film.
- Perform emotionally grounded and natural scenes.
- Work collaboratively with the student filmmaking team.
- Follow creative direction throughout production.
Requirements
- Sandra – Mom: Hispanic/Latina woman, ages 40–59; Puerto Rican or Cuban preferred; caring, sensitive, and stubborn personality; must be a native Spanish speaker.
- Cruz – Dad: Hispanic/Latino man, ages 40–59; Cuban-American preferred; dreamy, ambitious, and avoidant personality; must understand Spanish and be able to drive.
- Florida locals are encouraged to apply.
