JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a creative, thorough, and hardworking Freelance Associate Producer to join the # 1 National Cable Morning Show, Fox & Friends. As Freelance Associate Producer, you will be responsible for pitching stories, writing scripts, and selecting/building elements in a collaborative team environment. You’re well-versed in politics, culture & current events — and innately curious about everything else. You are a talented writer & excellent researcher who sees value in discovering unique angles/approaches to stories that are difficult to find.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch unique guests, stories & segments
  • Conduct in-depth research
  • Write stories, guest intros, teases, banners, and questions
  • Select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to help tell a story
  • Additional responsibilities based on your unique talents/abilities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3+ years of prior television (or similar) experience
  • Strong knowledge of news, politics, and current events; familiarity with popular influencers, commentators & opinion-makers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others under deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and make educated decisions
  • Willingness to listen, learn, and grow from constructive criticism
  • Able to work weekends and overnight hours
  • You are creative and think ‘outside the box’
  • A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $28.61-33.65 per hour. We provide Freelancers medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Fox Nation, a new groundbreaking streaming platform and entertainment service, has a new and exciting opportunity for a Creative Director with a robust skill set (motion graphics, key art, strong design sense) to lead marketing design.

In this hands-on and strategic role, the Creative Director will work in tandem with the On-Air half of the Creative Marketing team, as well as many other adjacent departments. The Creative Director will supervise a team of designers, be a strong ambassador and administrative leader, and work across departments and brands, laying the groundwork for future workflows. The Creative Director will report to and collaborate with the Vice President, Creative Marketing.

There is nothing quite like Fox Nation’s brand in the television/streaming/entertainment worlds. The service is a unique blend of entertainment programming, movies, cooking, reality and history series as well as politics and news. The Creative Director will have the rare opportunity of being one of the few creative leaders tasked with taking Fox Nation to the next level.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with team to evolve the brand
  • Introduce new best practices and inspire future designers to do great work
  • Be both gatekeeper and trailblazer for the Fox Nation brand
  • Help shape and guide the service by both designing and shepherding platform, product, and key art across digital, print and OOH, on-air promotion and more
  • Build team of designers, act as a leader, and mentor staff
  • Hands-on in designing as well as leading – animation, typography, key art, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Creative Director (design) experience or 2+ years as a Senior Creative Designer
  • Relevant experience at a studio, television network or creative agency servicing the entertainment industry is preferred.
  • Portfolio/Reel/Link of past key art/animation/campaigns where you played a lead creative role
  • Technical Experience: Typography, Design, Motion, Motion Tracking, Keying, Rotoscoping, Editing
  • Proficiency: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Cinema 4D, Mocha, Red Giant Suite (Trapcode, Knoll, Magic Bullet, Universe, Primatte)
  • Knowledge of fundamental design and motion graphics terminology plus the latest advances and trends
  • An excellent communicator to liaise with internal teams, executives, and creatives
  • Ability to work, revise and take/give direction on multiple projects at once
  • The position can involve travel to attend shoots
  • A collaborative and resourceful mindset

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience managing up, down and sideways
  • Experience directing, curating and producing photo shoots
  • Interest/knowledge in a combination of politics/news/entertainment/history/pop culture

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $102,500.00-125,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

We are looking for an exceptional Associate Producer to join our Washington, D.C. FOX News Sunday team. As an Associate Producer, you have the news judgment to select the strongest, most relevant sound and video elements to use in our Sunday political affairs program. You are a strong writer and have a passion for politics. You are self-motivated, highly organized, and have a strong sense of urgency, capable of working under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines throughout the week. You are a team player who works to drive the show’s editorial mission each week and is proactive in helping teammates. The Associate Producer will work on special projects and political coverage in the field when necessary. You will handle the show’s promotion through weekly affiliate hits and will manage the show’s digital presence.

You will be offered the following shift: WEDNESDAYS THRU SATURDAYS 9:00 AM-5:00 PM; SUNDAYS 5:00 AM-1:00 PM (Subject to Change)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of news production experience on a national level or covering national news on a local level
  • Solid news judgment, passion for politics, and current events
  • Ability to meet firm and short deadlines
  • Familiarity with news production software, such as iNews, Dalet, or Viz
  • Understanding of social media and web platforms
  • Ability to keep a great attitude while meeting demands
