Casting Call for The Lost Children of Tuam – Feature Film Roles

Job Description
A powerful feature film is seeking local talent in Ireland for speaking and non-speaking roles in the upcoming production The Lost Children of Tuam. Based on the true story of Catherine Corless’s discovery of a mass grave at the former Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, this film aims to honor the voices and stories of the children and families affected. Talent must be available for filming from mid-September through the end of October 2025.

This is a non-union, Ireland-based production. No previous acting experience is necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray authentic characters based on real historical context

  • Participate in emotionally driven and period-specific scenes

  • Follow direction on set and contribute to a respectful, professional environment

  • Attend fittings, rehearsals, and scheduled film days as required

Requirements

  • Children: Boys and girls, ages 6–12, all appearances, for various roles

  • Adults: Men and women, ages 60 and older, all appearances, for various roles

  • Must be a full-time resident of Ireland

  • Must be available mid-September to end of October 2025

Casting Call: “Good Oranges” Feature Film – Child Leads

Job Details: Fiona Weir Casting, known for their work on acclaimed films such as “Fantastic Beasts,” “Judy,” and “Brooklyn,” is currently searching for young, exceptional talent to fill the roles of Danny and Pauline in the upcoming feature film “Good Oranges.” This film is produced by Pulse Films and is associated with “Gangs of London” and “The Witch.” We are seeking young actors who can commit to the filming schedule from 26th February 2024 to 26th April 2024. The production will take place in Bristol and the South West of England, and applicants must be full-time residents of the United Kingdom to apply.

Job Responsibilities: The selected child actors will play pivotal roles in the film as follows:

  1. Role of Danny (10 years old): Danny is a 10-year-old boy and one of the lead characters. He should be able to convincingly portray the role of Danny and bring depth to the character’s emotions, actions, and dialogue.

  2. Role of Pauline (11 years old): Pauline is an 11-year-old girl and another child lead. The actress chosen for this role should embody the character of Pauline with authenticity and sincerity, delivering a compelling performance.

Requirements:

  • No previous acting experience is necessary. We are open to discovering young talent with raw potential.
  • Applicants must be residents of the UK and should be fully available for the filming schedule from 26th February 2024 to 26th April 2024.
