ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is looking for a PRODUCTION ASSISTANT to support the ET brand on our newsdesk and in our visual storytelling. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of celebrity and pop culture, enjoys working in a fast paced environment, and is detail-oriented. Must be able to work under tight deadlines and have an eye for identifying great images and video to elevate ET segments. Â

If you love entertainment and pop culture this is a great way to get your foot in the door at an Emmy-award winning production.  In addition to doing daily media management, the PAs at ET are exposed to all positions, including field producing, and are giving the opportunity to shadow staffers in other departments.Â

Responsibilities:Â
- Assist producers & directors in gathering assets for video editsÂ
- Log & transcribe celebrity interviewsÂ
- Pull visual elements and build asset folders that will enhance the storytelling in ET segments  Â
- Collaborate with and support writers, producers, and directors as they put segments togetherÂ
- Communicate any necessary photo creditsÂ
- Work with the senior team to pull visuals to be used in monitors on setÂ
- Be able to quickly identify and avoid pulling images that would be problematic for the brand to show (example: no kid policy celebs)Â
- Be able to quickly identify when a photo is problematic from a Standards & Practice perspective (example: a swear word on someone’s shirt)Â
- Cross-train to provide staffing coverage in other ET departmentsÂ

Qualifications:Â Â
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlinesÂ
- Must be capable of handling multiple projects at onceÂ
- Must be dependable and a clear communicatorÂ
- Must have an eye for good photos/videosÂ
- Must be knowledgeable of social media platforms and able to pull images & videos from socialÂ
- Must love pop culture & celebrity news.  If you struggle to put a celebrity face with a name this job isn’t for youÂ
- Must have a clear focus on ensuring ET is putting out the best content possible (example: Is the audio I’m transcribing sound muffled in such a way I should flag this for a supervisor?)Â
- Experience is not necessary, but education and/or an internship in TV or in the entertainment industry is preferred.Â

This is a full-time job based in LA. This role is expected to work from ET studios from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.   WFH is an option on Sundays & Fridays.   Working on an award show day (example: The Oscars) or big pop culture event day will be expected.Â

This is a $20/hr position with minimum 40 hours a week. Health benefits.Â

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is looking for an Associate Producer, Social Media to join our social media team. This team plays a vital role in building new audiences for ET and ensuring we remain a top pop culture and entertainment news brand, no matter what platform. The right candidate must understand each social platform and what makes the audience for each one unique. You will play a key role in building out our community management strategy primarily on Twitter and Facebook.Â

For this role, you must also have excellent news judgment and be able to identify viral stories that are part of the pop culture conversation. You must be able to move fast, work under tight deadlines, pivot quickly and come up with accurate, compelling copy on the fly. You must also be a proactive team player with clear communication skills and the drive to be the best in this field. Â

This is an LA-based position with a hybrid schedule from ET’s offices: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in office with Wednesday and Friday WFH, 6AM – 3PM PT. Â

Responsibilities:Â
- Assist in the building of daily social calendar for a social media platform (Facebook, Twitter) from content selection to post creation.Â
- Cultivate, manage and engage our social communities. Listen to, escalate and act on fan feedback.Â
- Provide ongoing insights and strategic recommendations to build community and increase engagement.Â
- Implement an authentic, fun and compelling brand voice.Â
- Developing shareable social creative content, including graphics and video.Â
- Will include occasional or scheduled shifts that require night and weekend work around big events.Â
Â
Qualifications:Â
- A journalism background in a digital newsroom, specifically 1+ years working in social or digital media.Â
- Strong writing skills.Â
- Understand and use various social media platforms.Â
- Experience using social content management systems. Â
- Basic experience with Photoshop or basic graphic design skills.Â
- Exceptional news judgment; we are looking for a person who won’t settle for second place in the constant race for news-making information and interviews .Â
- A love of all things pop culture and celebrity news.Â
- The ability to multitask and flexibility to re-prioritize duties based on breaking news.Â
