Job Description
An independent pilot and proof-of-concept titled JESSICA – Episode 1: “Rushed” is seeking Dallas-area actors for two male lead roles and several supporting characters. The story explores love, faith, healing, relationships, and navigating an unexpected new direction in life. The production is looking for performers with depth, authenticity, strong chemistry, and the ability to create believable, emotionally grounded characters.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray a lead or supporting character in the JESSICA pilot.
- Deliver authentic and emotionally grounded performances.
- Develop believable chemistry and relationships with fellow cast members.
- Participate in chemistry reads if selected as a lead finalist.
- Follow direction and collaborate professionally with the cast and creative team.
- Bring depth, personality, and authenticity to the assigned character.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work in the Dallas, Texas area.
- Rischard Jemison: Black male, ages 35–45; grounded, charismatic, and quietly commanding.
- Marques Jones: Black male, ages 27–37; athletic, vulnerable, and emotionally complex.
- Bryant: Black male, ages 27–38; loyal best friend with natural humor and honesty.
- Sarah: Woman, ages 28–45; warm, observant, and trustworthy.
- Additional supporting roles include Dr. Allen, a studio receptionist, Marques’ teammate, and Sarah’s daughter.
- Strong acting ability, authenticity, and character chemistry are desired.
Compensation
