Job Description

A new TV sketch series is seeking a non-union male actor for a guest role. The series showcases six stories centered on Black Deaf culture and BASL, using comedy to challenge misconceptions and highlight cultural authenticity. Deaf and BASL influencers are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform the role of Oscar Dickton, a self-absorbed Hollywood producer with an eccentric personality and outlandish ideas.

• Deliver comedic performance that highlights the satirical nature of the role.

• Collaborate with the creative team to bring authenticity and humor to the series.

• Participate in filming on scheduled shoot days.

• Character: Oscar Dickton

• Gender: Male

• Ethnicity: White

• Age Range: 30–50 years old

• Additional Requirements: Hearing or Hard of Hearing (HOH) with speaking ability.

• Character Notes: Oscar is flamboyant, wacky, and highly self-important. He dominates conversations with bizarre suggestions and expects constant attention from creators seeking his approval.
