Job Description

The nonunion student film What We Carry, produced through Montclair State University, is now casting for two lead roles in an upcoming drama project. This character-driven student film explores emotional depth and family dynamics and will be submitted to film festivals upon completion.

Production is seeking strong performers to portray two parent roles in a compelling dramatic narrative. This is a one-day shoot, and actors should be prepared for a full day on set.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a lead character in a dramatic student film

Laura (Lead)

  • Female

Character Note:
Both roles are written as the biological parents of a Caucasian child. Actors should appear white/Caucasian to maintain visual continuity with the child actor.

  • Prior acting experience preferred

  • Must be available for a full one-day shoot

  • Comfortable working on a nonunion student film project

Compensation Details

Unpaid student film

Actors will receive screen credit and a copy of their scenes for personal reels. The film will be submitted to festivals.
