Job Description
Dance Lab NY is seeking submissions from highly skilled, stylistically versatile dancers for its Tap Dance Project 2026. The opportunity is open to performers of all gender identities, ages 18 and older, with a major emphasis on advanced tap dance technique, movement generation, and creative exploration. Dancers will work with and learn choreography from multiple choreographers, requiring adaptability, strong memory, and close attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform and develop choreography with multiple choreographers.
- Participate in movement generation and creative exploration.
- Execute advanced tap dance choreography with strong technique.
- Learn, retain, and accurately perform new choreography.
- Adapt to different choreographic styles and movement disciplines.
- Collaborate effectively with choreographers and fellow dancers.
- Participate in partnering work when applicable.
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older.
- Open to all gender identities.
- Must demonstrate a high level of tap dance technique.
- Strong overall dance ability and stylistic versatility.
- Excellent attention to detail and memory.
