Job Description
An independent low-budget romantic comedy feature film is seeking non-union actors for several non-speaking supporting roles. The production is casting performers to portray members of a Caucasian/White family and other supporting characters in an upcoming indie romantic comedy.
The project offers an opportunity for actors with strong physical acting abilities, expressive personalities, and comedic instincts to contribute to a character-driven film production.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray assigned characters in non-speaking scenes.
- Follow creative direction from the director and production team.
- Participate in filming as scheduled.
- Deliver expressive performances through physical acting and on-camera presence.
- Collaborate with cast and crew to support the story and comedic tone of the film.
Requirements
- Non-union performers only.
- Must be able to work in New Jersey.
- Must submit a headshot and contact information.
- Resume preferred but not required.
- Ability to portray one of the following roles:
Mom
- Female, ages 40–60.
- Strong comedic timing and expressive personality preferred.
Dad
- Male, ages 40–60.
3rd Grade Teacher
- Any gender, ages 25–60.
Grandma
- Female, age 60+.
Weird Ex-Boyfriend
- Male, ages 20–40.
- Quirky personality and comedic energy preferred.
Pregnant Sister
- Female, ages 20–40.
- Pregnancy not required; prosthetic belly may be used.
Compensation Details
- $150 per day.
