A new comedy web series is seeking a talented actor to portray Bill Tuft, a key supporting character in the upcoming project Destination Oshawa. The series follows Hannah, an unexpectedly promoted director of the Oshawa Tourism Board, as she attempts to rescue the city’s reputation from a “Worst Cities in Canada” list with humor, heart, and determination.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform as Bill Tuft, bringing comedic timing and personality to the role

• Collaborate with the director and cast to capture engaging, lighthearted scenes

• Be available for scheduled shoot dates and rehearsals

• Maintain professionalism and flexibility on set

Requirements

• Non-union actors only

• Must be local or able to work as a local hire in Richmond Hill or Oshawa

• Strong comedic acting skills required

• Reels and headshots must be submitted for consideration

Compensation

• CAD $200/day daily honorarium

Job Description
A new comedy web series is now casting talented actors for key roles in Destination Oshawa. This non-union project follows Hannah, an ambitious yet overwhelmed new director of the Oshawa Tourism Board. After her boss’s unexpected passing, she’s left with the impossible task of getting Oshawa off the “Worst Cities in Canada” list before the year ends. With a chaotic team and limited resources, Hannah must inspire those around her and prove that she can put Oshawa on the map — in a good way.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in a scripted web series in a comedic, character-driven storyline

• Collaborate closely with the director and fellow cast members on set

• Portray dynamic, relatable characters with strong comedic timing

• Contribute to a positive and professional filming environment

Requirements

• Must be available for production during the specified dates

• Comfortable performing in both lead and supporting roles

• Strong comedic performance skills

• Ability to bring creativity and authenticity to character portrayal

Compensation

• Daily honorarium: CAD $200 per day

• Equity daily honorarium for all cast and crew
