• Be available for rehearsals, costume fittings, and all scheduled shooting dates.
• Provide input to the creative team regarding the character’s portrayal from a culturally authentic perspective.

Requirements:

• Must be of Malagasy descent.
• For the female role, must speak Malagasy fluently with a Malagasy accent.
• For the male role, must be a male in his 50s who speaks English fluently with a Malagasy accent.
• Acting experience in theater, film, or television is preferred but not required.
• Must submit a recent photo and contact information for consideration.

Casting Call: Lead Male Role for Upcoming Television Series

Job Details: ABC & Colloff/Nicolosi Casting is seeking a talented individual to play a lead male character in an upcoming television series. This character is a male in his 30s to 40s of mixed ethnicity (Black/White) who is a wheelchair user due to being paraplegic, caused by a gunshot wound to the spine during a robbery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray a character who is confident, sociable, warm, and charismatic.
• Work closely with directors and other actors to bring the character to life in a way that is authentic and respects the experiences of differently-abled individuals.
• Participate in rehearsals and perform takes as required by the director.
• Provide input to the writers and directors on the portrayal of the character to ensure accuracy and sensitivity.

Requirements:

• Male actor, appearing to be in the 30s-40s age range.
• Must be of mixed ethnicity (Black/White).
• Real-life experience as a wheelchair user is preferred but not required.
• Strong acting skills with the ability to convey a range of emotions and nuances of the character.
• Ability to take direction well and adapt to changes in scripting and scene setup.
• Prior experience in television or film is preferred.
• Commitment to a shooting schedule that will be provided upon casting.
