Casting Call for “Single, Taken, Other” Season 2 (Web Series)

Job Description: We are casting for recurring roles in Season 2 of the web series “Single, Taken, Other”. The series follows a group of friends navigating their love lives and answering the age-old question: are they single, taken, or somewhere in between? This is an exciting opportunity for actors to be a part of a dynamic and engaging storyline set in South Florida.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portray characters involved in various romantic and personal relationships, with complex emotions and interactions.
• Collaborate with other cast members and the production team to deliver high-quality performances for each episode.
• Be available for weekend shoots starting in November, and commit to recurring appearances in the series.
• Take direction well and bring authenticity and energy to the role.

Requirements:

• Must be a local talent in South Florida (no travel or lodging provided).
• Previous acting experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to commit to a recurring role and available for weekend filming.
• Must submit a headshot and reel for consideration.

1. Ahmod:
   • Late 20s/early 30s, he/him, Black.
   • Taryn’s ex, cocky yet dapper, believes he has it all together.
2. Leon:
   • Late 20s/early 30s, he/him, Black.
   • Brittney’s new love interest, confident, stylish, looking to settle down.
3. Lance:
   • Late 20s/30s, he/him, Black.
   • Lawyer, go-getter, assertive.
4. Qasim:
   • Late 20s/30s, he/him, Black.
   • Photographer, laid back, quiet confidence.
5. Mike:
   • Late 20s/30s, he/him, Black.
   • Friend of Royce, level-headed, married, voice of reason.
6. Connie:
   • 30s, she/her, any race.
   • New project manager at Flair, not a team player, jaded.
7. Mercedes:
   • Late 20s/early 30s, she/her, any race.
   • New employee at Flair, mischievous, up to no good.
8. Tamara Jackson:
   • 30s/40s, she/her, Black.
   • City commissioner, poised, sophisticated.
9. Paige:
   • Late 20s/early 30s, she/her, Black.
   • Cara’s friend, divorcee, the wise friend, supportive.
10. Nyema:
    • Late 20s/early 30s, she/her, Black/Hispanic.
    • Cara’s friend, New Yorker, witty, no-nonsense, likes to party.
