Job Description
An independent short film is casting multiple roles for a micro-budget narrative project filming in New York. This dramatic story centers on family, loyalty, and difficult choices, following a father trying to create a better life for his son. The production is seeking committed performers who can bring authenticity and emotional depth to grounded, character-driven scenes.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform scripted scenes in an independent short film

• Collaborate closely with the director and fellow cast members

• Deliver emotionally honest performances

• Participate in scheduled filming days

Requirements

• Non-union actors

• Comfortable working on an unpaid independent film

• Cantonese language skills preferred for select roles

• Must be able to work in the New York area

Available Roles

• Gary – Latino male. A loyal, straight-shooter friend with strong presence.

• Slim Liu – Male. A small, sharp Triad member with intensity and edge.

• Jason – Male. Teen or young adult portraying a rebellious, angry son. Face piercing required or willingness to wear one.

Additional Production Needs

• Chinatown apartment location (1 day)

• Delivery-style e-bike (1 day)
