An NYU narrative short film is now casting lead male actors for You’re Still Inside Me, an emotionally charged indie film exploring heartbreak, identity, and obsession in modern relationships. This short film casting call is seeking strong performers for complex, character-driven roles centered around love, loss, and vulnerability.
The story follows a young man who spirals after being broken up with via voice memo. As he struggles to move on, he becomes fixated on his ex-boyfriend’s message and turns to the world of audio erotica in search of connection and escape. This project dives deep into intimacy, masculinity, and emotional detachment in today’s digital age.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray a lead or supporting character in a dramatic short film
- Deliver emotionally layered performances in intimate, character-driven scenes
- Participate in rehearsals and collaborate with the director and cast
- Perform in scenes involving simulated intimacy with professionalism
- Contribute to authentic storytelling in a sensitive, relationship-focused narrative
Requirements
- Male actors, early 20s
- Role 1: Latino male, early 20s, physically fit, able to portray charm, wit, and emotional vulnerability
- Role 2: Dark-skinned Black male, early 20s, deep voice preferred, confident presence
- Comfortable with partial nudity and simulated sex scenes
- Must be professional and open to working with an intimacy coordinator
- Strong acting skills with the ability to portray emotional depth
