Job Description

Barrington Stage Company is casting two young local actors for the roles of Young Abigail and Young Alice in the world-premiere production of Alex Rugman’s The Urmetazoan. The production is seeking performers ages 9–13 who are interested in joining a professional theatrical production. Selected actors will work closely with the cast and creative team throughout rehearsals and perform their respective roles during the production’s live run. This is an exciting opportunity for young local performers who are comfortable on stage, can take direction, and are ready to collaborate in a professional theater environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform the role of Young Abigail or Young Alice.
• Attend all required rehearsals and performances.
• Learn assigned scenes, blocking, and performance material.
• Follow direction from the director and creative team.
• Work professionally with fellow cast members and production staff.

Requirements

• Seeking actors ages 9–13.
• Roles available: Young Abigail and Young Alice.
• Seeking young local performers.
• Must be comfortable performing on stage and taking direction.
• Must be available for the production’s rehearsal and performance commitments.
