A BA fictional cinema production is now casting for the short film I Was Looking for Something. The story follows a compulsive young woman confronting herself during a mental health crisis while searching for answers. This is a character-driven project offering opportunities for emotionally complex performances.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray emotionally layered characters in a dramatic short film

  • Collaborate with the director and creative team to bring authenticity to the story

  • Participate in rehearsals and filming with professionalism

  • Some roles may involve physical intimacy, suggested nudity, or working with fake blood (an intimacy coordinator will be present)

Requirements

  • Natasha: Female, 22, Latinx, dark features. Must portray OCD symptoms including paranoia, anxiety, and depression. Comfortable with suggested nudity and intimacy.

  • Ernesto: Male, 25–30, open to all ethnicities (preferably Latinx). Dark, mysterious, and central to Natasha’s journey.

  • Amy: Female, 22, open to all ethnicities. Role involves intimacy with suggested nudity.

  • Man: Male, 35–40, any ethnicity. Must be comfortable with fake blood.

  • Woman: Female, 35–40, any ethnicity. Must be comfortable with fake blood.

  • Young Girl: Female, 10–14, any ethnicity. Must be comfortable with fake blood.
