“God & Country” is a WWII short film produced by a dedicated team of student filmmakers. The film delves into the complexities of war and the human condition, focusing on the stories of a priest, a British soldier, and a haunted soldier. This project offers a unique opportunity to be part of a compelling narrative set during one of history’s most significant periods.

Casting For:

  1. The Priest

    • Description: Male, 45-75, with a German accent. The priest is a complex character who provides spiritual guidance and solace amidst the chaos of war.

    • Responsibilities: Deliver emotionally nuanced performances, convey a sense of wisdom and inner conflict, and interact with other characters to support their arcs.

  2. The British Soldier

    • Description: Male, 18-25, with a British accent. A young soldier experiencing the brutal realities of war for the first time. This character’s journey involves bravery, fear, and camaraderie.

    • Responsibilities: Portray a range of emotions from fear to bravery, participate in intense and realistic war scenes, and develop a strong on-screen presence.

  3. The Haunted Soldier

    • Description: Male, 18-25. This character is marked by the psychological scars of war. He is a portrayal of the haunting effects of combat and the struggle to maintain sanity.

    • Responsibilities: Exhibit deep emotional range, show the physical and mental toll of war, and engage in scenes that require intense emotional and physical performance.

Requirements:

  • Male actors fitting the age and accent specifications for each role.

  • Ability to deliver authentic and compelling performances.

  • Available for the full duration of the shooting schedule in York, UK.

Compensation Details:
