An indie, non-union psychological drama short film titled Anxiety is seeking an actor to play Mother. This role is grounded and emotionally complex—protective, conflicted, and deeply connected to her son. The performance calls for strong presence and emotional depth, with more emphasis on subtlety than heavy dialogue.
Job Responsibilities

Portray the Mother character with emotional range, restraint, and authenticity.

Take direction and collaborate with the director and production team.

Participate in rehearsals and/or a simple performance run-through if requested.

Arrive prepared, professional, and on time for all scheduled production activities.

Maintain continuity and performance consistency across takes.
Requirements

Female-presenting actor, age 45–55.

Ethnicity: Open (an Eastern European/Ukrainian accent is a strong plus, but not required).

Language: English (accent acceptable).

Comfortable performing emotionally nuanced, psychological drama material.
