Job Description
A documentary production is casting two male actors for staged reenactments in A Love Worth Fighting For, a short documentary exploring the lives of Peter de Waal and Peter Bonsall-Boone, two influential figures in Australian queer history. The project focuses on themes of activism, resilience, and love during a period of discrimination. Actors will portray emotionally driven cinematic reenactments for the documentary production.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform in cinematic reenactments for the short documentary
- Attend rehearsals and costume fittings prior to filming
- Collaborate with the director and production team during production
- Deliver emotionally authentic and vulnerable performances on camera
- Participate professionally throughout scheduled filming days
Requirements
- Male actors ages 25–35
- Strong emotional depth and on-camera presence preferred
- Ability to portray warmth, vulnerability, and resilience
- Comfortable participating in dramatic reenactment scenes
- No intimacy scenes required
- Actors do not need to identify as queer to apply
- Must provide a showreel and CV for submission
