Job Description
A short film production is seeking background actors to bring a lively 1930s–40s inspired juke joint scene to life. Talent will help create an authentic southern atmosphere through dance, movement, and social interaction. Musicians who can provide live instruments are also welcome to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray juke joint patrons, including dancers, drinkers, and social extras

• Collaborate with the production team to help create a vibrant, authentic environment

• Optional: Perform as a musician to add live authenticity to the scene

• Remain professional and enthusiastic throughout filming

Requirements

• Must be comfortable wearing 1930s–40s vintage-style wardrobe

• Open to all genders and ethnicities

• Musicians encouraged to bring their own instruments if participating

• No prior acting experience required

Compensation

• Paid background role, rate provided upon booking

• Professional on-set experience in a narrative short film

• Opportunity to participate in an atmospheric period piece production
