What we’re looking for: Spectrum News is launching a new national news product which will stream 24×7 on a new OTT platform. Spectrum News is in search of a Producer who will create newscasts as part of a national editorial team. Our national news puts impactful, not sensational, stories and information into context to demonstrate to viewers how their lives are connected to domestic and world events.
The Executive Producer, National News will be responsible for leading a team of producers and associate producers in the production of live and recorded national newscasts. The EP will be responsible for story selection and execution, working with news management throughout all Spectrum Networks and coordinating editorial logistics with the National Content Hub, reporters, producers and technical staff in locations throughout the U.S. The EP will also be responsible for producing special reports and series.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
- Supervisory responsibilities for newsroom staff and station personnel working on newscasts with particular emphasis on Producers and Associate Producers, ensuring the department’s staffing and assignment needs are met.
- Serve as editorial lead of newscasts
- Oversee decisions on story lineup, video/audio elements, graphics and show timing
- Solve the challenges that come with dynamic news coverage
- Develop backups for critical coverage
- Coordinate logistics with all Spectrum stations
- Perform writing and editing functions as needed
- Generate story and coverage ideas on a daily and long-term basis
- Handles shift scheduling and approves paid time off when applicable
- Follow through on all assignments meeting required deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred or comparable television work experience
- 5+ years of producing and Executive Producing experience in television news
- 2+ years of management experience
- National news experience preferred

Responsibilities and Duties
We need an experienced Art Director to join the Las Vegas Studio. We are looking for an individual that can provide clear artistic vision, define opportunity to disrupt marketplace, and set a creative bar for the studio and company alike.
This individual will be excellent in mentoring and guidance for the art team, with core understanding of composition, motion graphics, color, graphic layout, fonts, and delivering market relevant solutions.
This position utilizes the team, recognizing the strengths and opportunities of each individual, with proactive leadership to anticipate and address future needs of products.
Other duties include:
- Maintain regular art reviews covering composition, graphics, prototype, theme selections, and new market opportunities
- Manage, mentor, and coach the art team to reach and exceed market leading graphics and visual content.
- Regular 1:1 reviews with the art staff, with guidance on craft and career growth.
- Open and honest feedback, build on the great and correct for the opportunity.
- Guide for new production methods, tools, and styles
- Attract, interview, and hire new talent for roles in the art team.
- Partner with other studio leaders including Producers, Engineering, Game Design, Audio, and Project Management to deliver market moving games.
- Contribute to improving development process, productivity and overall artistic quality of games in production.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Design or equivalent work experience
- Experience of 7-10 years in a Senior Art Leadership role within the casino gaming industry. Outside industries in video games or interactive art also considered.
- Strong understanding of Design, Composition, Color, Motion Graphics, & Visual Effects.
- Excellent knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects / Photoshop)
- Experience in Trapcode Suite, Element 3D or Particle Illusion software beneficial.
- Knowledge in one or more 3D packages, ie. 3DS Max, Maya, Blender and Unity.
- Attention to detail and application from past learnings.
- Self-Starter, identify the opportunity and seek out solutions.

Overview:
Currents News is looking for an experienced, ambitious, and creative journalist who can jump into a fast-paced newsroom environment to be the executive producer of NET-TV’s flagship news program. Currents News covers secular and faith-based news for a Catholic audience in the New York market with plans to syndicate to a national audience. The ideal candidate is someone who is searching to step off the news merry-go-round of covering crime, accidents, and fires, and leap into the world of engaging, inspirational and in-depth story-telling. The EP will thrive in a multi-platform environment and help to execute the organization’s mission. You will be in charge of managing the newsroom, supervise talent and producers, work with the assignment desk editor, and collaborate with managers from other platforms. You will participate in the editorial meetings, pitch stories, approve the rundown and scripts, and mentor a group of producers and reporters. You will supervise and monitor the recording of the newscast in the control room and booth live coverage of breaking news events.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the stacking of the rundown and ensure that scripts are well-written, accurate and updated throughout the day.
