Casting is now open for the digital series Rent-A-Girlfriend, a paid non-union production filming in Toronto/GTA. This LGBTQ+ positive project follows a compelling story about a Chinese-Canadian Harvard Law student navigating love, identity, and unexpected connections. The production is seeking actors for multiple Chinese/East Asian roles in a respectful and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform in a scripted digital series production
• Portray emotionally driven characters in a romantic drama
• Collaborate with directors, cast, and crew
• Follow direction during rehearsals and filming
• Participate in scenes that may include light intimacy (kissing only)

Requirements:

• Must be Chinese/East Asian
• Open to actors for principal and supporting roles
• Must be local to Toronto/GTA (local hires only)
• Comfortable with LGBTQ+ themes
• Comfortable with limited intimacy (kissing only; intimacy coordinator provided)
• Demo footage encouraged but not required
• Must include size cards with submission

Compensation:

• Supporting Lead: $250/day + 15% agent fee
• Principal: $200/day + 15% agent fee
