When it comes to acting many people think of movie stars. However, most actors live and breathe on stage. Some of the biggest and the most well-trained actors come out of theater productions. But, what makes theater so difficult is the fact that actors must memorize pages upon pages of dialogue and be able to convince the audience that what they are seeing is real. There is no room for mistakes. There is no room for error.
On Monday, the YouTube channel Great Big Story, published of video centering around an actor who has played the same rule for over 60 years. in a small theater in France, the same player has been performed every single night since 1957. “The Bald Soprano” holds the current world record for the longest-running play staged in the same theatre. And one actor, Roger Defossez, has been performing the same role for nearly 60 years. Even after more than 6,000 shows, he continues to greet every performance with enthusiasm.
