His father, Stephen Gyllenhaal was a director, while his mother Naomi Foner was a Hollywood producer and screenwriter. Not to mention, his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal is also a critically acclaimed actress.

In a recent interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Gyllenhaal opened up about his acting process, what he accomplished in his new movie Nocturnal Animals and how aspiring actors can learn from his time in Hollywood.
