On May 2012, ABC announced the show was renewed for another season.
The show features Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. It is produced by Lloyd-Levitan Productions, and 20th Century Fox Television.
The series was renewed for its sixth season on May 8, 2014. The sixth season premiered on September 24, 2014. Due to the popularity of the show, Modern Family is expected to be renewed for Season 7 in the next few months.
