Tyler Perry is on fire.

Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home has been renewed for a second season. This show is TLC’s first scripted TV series and it clearly shows how flexible Tyler Perry is in the entertainment industry.

Too Close to Home centers around the story of a young woman who escaped her working class upbringing to discover unparalleled success in the fast-paced D.C. political circuit, only to find herself at the center of a scandal. After a steamy affair with a married senator makes national headlines, she is forced to return to her trailer park beginnings, where her past and everyone in it resurfaces to complicate everything.

The entire first season filmed in Atlanta, Georgia and Tyler Perry is expected to film the second season in the next few months.
