Ruby Rose is the star of CW’s upcoming new series “Batwoman“.
On Saturday, the actress posted a graphic video on Instagram that shows her getting “emergency surgery” following a stunt injury.
“To everyone asking about my new Pez dispenser scar on my neck… A couple of months ago I was told I needed emergency surgery or I was risking becoming paralyzed,” Rose wrote in the Instagram post. “I had herniated two discs doing stunts, and they were close to severing my spinal chord [sic].”
“Thank you Dr. Bray for everything you did and for allowing me to keep working and doing what I love. I am forever in your debt,” Rose continued. “And to anyone asking why I let them video it. Did you not watch that ‘Grey’s anatomy’ episode where they left a towel in a patient?? Also I wanted to see what happens when we go under.”
It is important to note, this is not the first time Ruby Rose needed surgery for her back. In 2018, according to TheWrap, the actress tweeted that she had suffered from a spinal issue for a decade and had to have surgery to fix it.
“Batwoman” premieres at 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 6th.
