There has been a long feud between ‘Fast and Furious’ co-stars Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. On Saturday, we learned their animosity has finally come to an end.
Johnson took to Instagram for one of his popular selfie videos, taking a break at the gym to thank everyone for making ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ a hit movie. Among thanking the cast and crew, Johnson also thanked Diesel.
“Lastly, but not least, I want to thank brother Diesel for your support of Hobbs & Shaw,” Johnson said. “My goal was always, all these years, to come into the Fast & Furious world and help elevate the franchise in any way that I possibly could,” he said, then added, “And of course, all roads lead to one thing. I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.”
Dwayne Johnson was referring to Dominic Toretto. The feud dates back to 2016 when they were filming the series’ previous movie, ‘The Fate of the Furious’. It was leaked Johnson had allegedly called some of his castmembers “candy a—“‘ later it was revealed he was calling out Vin Diesel. Johnson also suspiciously left the actor off his list of thank-yous at the end of the movie’s shoot. In interviews and social media posts, the two actors never publicly said anything malicious to one another, but it is arguably clear there was some major beef between them.
But it begs the question – does this mean they have made up? Is this Johnson simply offering Diesel an apology? But perhaps this means Johnson will make an appearance in the next ‘Fast & Furious 9’ movie. Or is there a spin-off coming soon, Hobbs & Torretto?
