The reviews for Netflix’s Fuller House are not looking too good…
A lot of people seem to hate the new Netflix series Fuller House. When it was announced that Netflix planned on bringing back the 90’s sitcom, everyone was pretty much excited. However, ever since the series debuted on the streaming giant, people are less than impressed. In fact, one critic said “It’s doubtful that there will be a more painful 2016 TV episode than the ‘Fuller House’ pilot,” writes THR’s Daniel Fienberg, one of many critics who disliked the Netflix reboot.
And Fienberg is not alone. The show scored a 35 on Metacritic and 39 percent on Rotten Tomatoes
Here’s some of the reviews of Fuller House.
Anne Easton of the New York Observer said, “The jokes continue to be really bad and the situations way too contrived, but it’s sort of nice to see that DJ has become a veterinarian and that she has real parenting issues.”
Margaret Lyons of New York Magazine said “Fuller House’s great achievement is that it is not the absolute worst show in history. That cannot possibly be reason enough to make something.”
Hank Stuever of the Washington Post said “It represents a new low in the current culture’s inability to leave behind the blankies, binkies and wubbies of one’s youth.”
Fuller House centers around the recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller gets help from her sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy when the women move in with their families to help D.J. raise her children in this spin-off series.
Movie critics are not alone. Fans took to Twitter to bash Fuller House and it’s not pretty.
