A background actor was upgraded to a speaking role on Fox’s hit TV series Empire.
4 Star Casting, the extras casting company behind the hit TV who Empire, broke the news on Facebook.
“Congratulations to Bill Dunning on his recent upgrade/speaking role on EMPIRE!,” the casting company said on Facebook.
Empire is currently filming in Chicago, Illinois.‘ Empire’ centers around a hip hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, and the drama among the members of the founders’ family as they fight for control of the company. The hour-long family drama was created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, and stars Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.
This is not the first time a background actor as upgraded to a speaking role. Recently, on set of Kevin Hart’s new movie Night School, a background actor was also upgraded to a principal speaking role. Tyler Perry also has a history of upgrading background extras to speaking roles. Related:
