Video is going to take over your Facebook newsfeed.
A Facebook executive, Nicola Mendelsohn, told Quartz that Facebook “will be probably all video.” Mendelsohn added that video is “the best way to tell stories in this world” and “helps us to digest much more information.”
Mendelson is predicting the end of written word, at e on Facebook, according to reports. And while that sounds crazy, consider the way Facebook is decreasing the amount of text posts you’re seeing on your Facebook feed and consider all of those videos you see as soon as you tun on the Facebook App. As GIFs, photos and videos are becoming increasingly popular replacements for text reactions, Facebook has responded by allowing users to post videos as comments on the social network.
In addition, Facebook is one of the first social network to share 360-degree videos and photos, and the inclusion of virtual reality in the future, shows Facebook is looking forward to creating more videos. Mendelsohn pointed out that “We’re seeing a year-on-year decline of text.”
This is great news for aspiring filmmakers, actors, models, and talent. There will be undoubtedly an increase for more and more video content which will increase the demand for actors in the film and media industry. Want to become a millionaire?
