Meet the New Executive : Carroll Morton

Carroll Morton has just been appointed the new executive director of the Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to film. Carroll isn’t new to the film world. As a matter of fact, she has been pivotal in the New Orleans film scene since 2018. Before this appointment, she was the director of the City of New Orleans .

Carroll is passionate about the culture of New Orleans. She’s determined to help it grow while keeping its unique heritage intact. She will use this drive in her new role as she helps steer the society forward.

Just a little bit about the society, it was founded in 1989. It organizes the -qualifying New Orleans every year. Plus, it also does some cool stuff like free and low-cost screenings for the local community. The next New Orleans Film Fest is marked for October 16-27.
