NBC is investing in a martial arts drama for 2015 in the new series, ‘Warrior’ from the creator of ‘Crossbones’.
NBC is moving forward on a new Martial Arts drama pilot. According to reports, NBC has picked up Warrior, a martial arts drama from the creator of Crossbones, David DiGilio.

Here’s the official description: “In a grounded, contemporary multicultural and sometimes magical milieu, a damaged heroine works undercover with physical and spiritual guidance from a mysterious martial arts master to bring down an international crime lord.”
DiGilio will write the script and executive produce the production alongside Universal Television Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald (Flight, Men in Black, Gladiator).
This will be the second martial arts drama to hit TV screens in 2015. AMC is currently producing Badlands, a martial arts drama from the creators of Smallville.

For NBC, Warrior is the show’s first drama pilot and the second pilot of 2015. NBC is also producing a comedy pilot called , Go Jerrod Go starring Jerrod Carmichael.
