Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has picked up to pilot the sequel to the Minority Report feature film.
The sci-fi drama was reported as one of the hottest productions in Hollywood, and Fox is going all in to see this pilot produced.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
The Minority Report follow-up takes place 10 years after the end of Precrime in D.C., when one of the three Precogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions of the future. He meets a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.
(September 9, 2014)Â Do you remember Minority Report?A futuristic crime thriller by Steven Spielberg centering around a cop who worked with a specialized police department that used telepaths to predict when a person was going to commit a crime, before the crime ever happened. It was an interesting concept, and in 2002 it was ahead of its time. Well, it looks like Fox is giving the sci-fi drama a TV reboot.
According to reports, Fox plans on launching a female-led sequel to the movie which will take place 10 years after the end of the Precrime in D.C., and focuses on a former “Precog” or telepath and his attempt to lead a normal life while still experiencing visions of the future. The Precog later teams up with a struggling detective and they work together to use his gift for good.
