NBC’s Heroes is back in the form of a mini-series
After FOX decided to bring back the hit series 24 as a miniseries, NBC plans to do the same thing with one of their most watched series, HEROES.
Creator Tim Kring is back this time for a 13-episode miniseries titled Heroes: Reborn which is scheduled to air in 2015.
Heroes, centered on the interconnected stories of unrelated people who discovery they have superhuman powers and learn that they are part of a huge plan to be brought together to change the world.
Heroes Reborn will feature a new group of characters, but as NBC Entertainment president pointed out, “we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”
Heroes original cast included Milo Ventimiglia, Greg Grunberg, Hayden Penettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Zachary Quinto, Masi Oka, Ali Larter and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
According to Deadline, the characters and story lines fromHeroes Reborn will be introduced in a digital series prior to the launch of the TV miniseries.
