MTV Renews ‘Faking It’ for Season 2

Date:

MTV’s ‘Faking It’ was renewed for a second season.

Prior to the finale of MTV’s new series, ‘Faking It‘, MTV has decided that they will give the series a second season and another 10 episodes.

Faking It‘ is the highest rated new series to launch on MTV this year. What makes the show such a hit is the compatibility with MTV’s ‘Awkward. ‘Faking It‘ retains nearly 90% of its lead-in, after ‘Awkward‘ finishes airing. Faking It has proved to be the perfect companion show to Awkward,” said Susanne Daniels, President of MTV Programming. “We’re excited about Carter Covington’s delicious plans for season two.”

MTV‘s ‘Faking It‘ is created by Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov and executive produced by Covington. The show centers on two best friends Karma (Katie Stevens) and Amy (Rita Volk), who love each other in different ways. After several attempts to becoming popular, the girls are mistakenly outed as lesbians, which make them the most popular girls at school. In order to keep being popular, they decide to keep pretending to be lesbians.
