Atlanta Ranks 10th of Most Popular City for TV and Film Productions in the World

The of TV shows and movies in Georgia has helped boost Atlanta into the top 10 all time of most popular cities where films and TV shows have filmed, according to a new report.

GoCompare.com has analyzed over 2,568 TV shows, and movies filmed in Atlanta and found Atlanta to be in the top 10 of most popular cities where productions have shot.

Los Angeles was reigned supreme with 33,369 followed by New York with 17,748, London, 11,526, Toronto with 5,737 and Vancouver with 4,110.

Atlanta is on track on surpassing Las Vegas and could soon be ranked in the top 3 in a few short years.

Georgia is the seventh most popular state for productions all-time at 4,195, followed by Pennsylvania (4,605), Illinois (5,285), Florida (7,437), Texas (8,164), New York (23,939) and (52,924).

That said, it may take a few years for Georgia to become the number one state with the most TV shows and movies filming in the country. However, no other state offers a production tax credit as generous as the Peach State, which has continued to draw several high-profile productions including several shows and films.
