The upcoming Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw, will reportedly film in Georgia, Hawaii and the United Kingdom.
According to reports, the upcoming Fast and Furious spinoff, the Hobbs and Show project, will film in Atlanta, Georgia and “undisclosed locations” in Hawaii and the United Kingdom.
This should be no surprise for followers of Project Casting as Dwayne The Rock Johnson has shot a large majority of his movies in the ATL including Rampage, Jumanji, and the upcoming Disney movie, Jungle Cruise.
Hobbs is set to start filming on September 4th. The Rock finishes filming on Disney’s Jungle Cruise on August 31st, so there is a chance, according to reports, production schedules may be affected.
About Hobbs and Shaw:
Vin Diesel announced in an interview with Variety that a possible spin-off for the series were in early stages of development. Universal announced a spin-off centered around Hobbs and Jason Statham’s character Deckard Shaw. The movie had a scheduled release date of July 26, 2019.
Variety reports that Shane Black is being considered to direct and Morgan returning to write the movie’s script. The announcement also sparked controversy with Tyrese Gibson who criticized Johnson for causing the ninth Fast & Furious movie to be delayed for another year.
On October 23, 2017, Dwayne Johnson posted a video on Instagram which showed the finished script for the spin-off, titled Hobbs and Shaw.
More Fast and Furious:
Vin Diesel announced two years ago that the ninth and tenth movie will be released on April 10, 2020, and April 2, 2021. The tenth movie would be the last movie.
