CBS46 producer was fired after racist comments on Facebook.
According to the AJC’s Rodney Ho, CBS46 producer was fired today after racist comments surrounding the Black Lives Matter march in Atlanta, Georgia were discovered on Facebook.
CBS46 photographer and producer Charles Beau Menefee was fired after calling the members of the Black Lives Matter movement “unevolved, uncivilized turds” and argued that protesters should be bombed.
Menefee had previously worked at Atlanta’s 11Alive and was nominated for a 2015 Emmy for his coverage of Ferguson in the category “General Assignment Report Within 24 Hours”
Menefee had previously worked at 11Alive (WXIA-TV). Ironically, he was nominated for a 2015 Emmy for Ferguson coverage in the category of “General Assignment Report Within 24 Hours” with Matthew Pearl, however he did not win, according to the AJC.
