Kid Cudi Joins the Cast of ‘Empire’

Date:

Kid Cudi joins the cast of Empire as Hakeem’s new rival.

I guess Kid Cudi received the Project Casting newsletter because, the rapper/actor is joining the casting Empire.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kid Cudi plays an independent musician who rivals the youngest Lyon in both “the studio and life.” In addition, Kid Cudi is dating the gorgeous Tiana, the woman Hakeem scorned because she wasn’t that famous. No doubt this will cause Hakeem to lose his head, what with his wedding being called off and his father being married to the woman carrying his child. If that doesn’t sound like drama, I don’t know what is.

Kid Cudi has had his acting career explode ever since he ended ties with Kanye West several years ago. He has appeared in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the now canceled HBO TV series How to Make It in America.

Empire is now filming in Chicago, Illinois and casting directors are constantly casting new talent to work on the hit hip-hop drama. To audition for a role on Empire, check out the latest casting calls here.
