Dear sensationalism, “Pay her” isn’t the headline to get you the attention you’re needing? Here’s a big Twitter hug #journalismmatters — Jeremy Renner (@Renner4Real) October 22, 2015
Earlier this week, Jeremy Renner was interviewed by Business Insider about whether he would be willing to negotiate his pay alongside his female co-stars in the future. Jeremy Renner ended up saying it was not his job to do that and he has to focus on acting.
The question came following an open letter written by Jennifer Lawrence, tackling the issue of the gender gap in Hollywood, and in particular the fact she got paid less than her “American Hustle” co-stars, a detail that was revealed following the Sony data hack.
Jeremy Renner’s response made him seem like he didnt’ care about women’s rights, which pissed a lot of people off.
@EW Apparently he thinks that helping others is for pussies 🙁
