Hundreds to Boycott Black Actors After Jesse Williams Speech

Date:

Fans are bashing Jesse Williams and calling for a boycott of “every black artist”.

Jesse Williams, who is best known for his role as Dr. Jackson Avery on the ABC Television series Grey’s Anatomy, is now under fire after hundreds call for the boycott of Grey’s Anatomy and black actors.

After news of a petition to fire Jesse Williams from Grey’s Anatomy went viral, many people took to Twitter to bash Jesse Williams and boycott the upcoming season of the hit Shonda Rhimes medical drama.

Recently, a petition, which was created by someone named Eric Williams and now has over 1,200 supporters calls for Jesse Williams to get fired from ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy calling the actor “racist”.

“If this was a white person making the same speech about an African American, they would have been fired and globally chastised, as they should be, but there has been no consequences to Williams’ actions.”

Vincent Edmonds from Cape Coral wrote in the comments of the petition saying, “Racist hatefilled anti-white speeches at an all black (making it racist by definition) awards show … disgraceful. How many white people were awarded at the BET awards i wonder? Remember the Oscars ..”

Despite the controversy and alleged “racist” comments by Jesse Williams Shonda Rhimes and Ellen Pompeo took to twitter to defend the actor.

I don’t think Jesse Williams is going to go anywhere any time soon.
