Harvard Scientists Invent a ‘Second Skin’ That Can Make You Prettier

Date:

The future is here and instead of purchasing new make-up, we will start buying ‘second skin’

A group of scientists from Harvard and MIT have developed a layer of “elastic, wearable” film that can be placed invisibly on your face to make wrinkles and bags under year eyes disappear, according to reports. This layer of “second skin,” is made from FDA-approved chemicals, the New York Times reports, and no skin irritation, rashes, or allergies were reported during the chemical trials.

Undereye bags are just the start. You can soak the film with sunscreen and protect yourself without worrying about sweat or water washing it away, researchers said. They expect it can be used to treat eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions by covering dry itchy patches with a film that moistens and soothes.

The skin can be worn for several days and it is also water resistant. Essentially, people can mix sunscreen, make up and other lotions to create a longer lasting, invisible, water-proof layer of skin.

While this may seem pretty strange, there is a huge demand for this type of technology. Millions of people taking selfies everyday this seems like the perfect invention in order to get the perfect Instagram photo.
